Mazak has received a 2011 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Mazak maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2010 to Sept. 30, 2011.
This is the second consecutive year in which Mazak has achieved this prestigious accolade. For 2011, Boeing recognized a total of 529 suppliers who achieved either a Gold- or Silver-level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. Mazak is among 407 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition. “At Mazak, we are committed to the manufacturing industry and understand that today’s manufacturer needs every advantage to be competitive,” says Brian Papke, president. “Therefore, we take all of our supplier relationships very seriously and treat our customers as partners. In essence, Mazak measures its achievements based on partner victories. It is an honor to receive this award from Boeing once again as it is a testament to the dedication and hard work of every Mazak employee.”
Mazak supplies a wide range of multi-tasking machines and milling centers to Boeing for a variety of the company’s metal cutting operations. Boeing’s operations integrate Mazak full five-axis multi-tasking technology in several different machine configurations, including both horizontal and vertical machines from the e-series. Boeing also uses a substantial amount of Mazak vertical machining centers with high-speed and full five-axis capabilities. Mazak Corporation is a leader in the design and manufacture of productivity-improving machine tool solutions. More information is available at www.mazakusa.com.
