Joseph Arvin, president of the Arrow Gear Co., has written the book A Nation on Borrowed Time. “This book, which I have written with Scott Newton, president of APEX Media Solutions, addresses the problems of our economy and the critical impact our declining industrial base is having on the standard of living in America,” he says. “I believe it really answers the big question, ‘What’s Really Going On?’”
According to Arvin, the book is meant to promote the need of a strong industrial base, which is vital for the U.S. economy and its citizens. So far the book has been reviewed by John McCarron of the Chicago Tribune, and Arvin has been asked to speak to the Manufacturing Technology Students at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
“Let’s face it, the United States is in terrible shape right now, and all we’re hearing about from the media is the partisan name calling and finger pointing that’s getting us nowhere,” according to Arvin. “In the book we uncover a root cause of our many national problems that makes real sense, leading to a non-divisive strategy for turning things around. The message is not far right or far left, but is bipartisan and offers a solution to our country’s economic problems. This is a message that I trust people will find very interesting, and I’m enthused about spreading the word.”
